I help people recover from injuries, whether acute or chronic, through manual medicine, individualized rehabilitative exercises and diet. These treatments help decrease inflammation and pain and optimize recovery and health.
My primary goal is to get you feeling better. I then teach you what you can do on your own in hopes to minimize/avoid future treatment.
The following services are offered for acute and chronic conditions:
Gentle and specific manual adjustments help restore proper joint motion. Drop table and gentle mobilization techniques are also offered. These techniques can be applied to the spine, extremities and jaw.
This therapy can provide relief of pain as a result of a lumbar disc herniation, stenosis, arthritis, and spondylolisthesis. It is a gentle way to take pressure off the discs and posterior joints. The motion improves blood flow and helps decrease inflammation.
Soft tissue massage is offered for treatment and healing of acute injuries and chronic conditions. The type of massage and the pressure applied depends upon the individual, the diagnosis and the phase of recovery.
Graston Technique utilizes hand held tools that detect and break up scar tissue in muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia. Studies have shown this technique also stimulates formation of new collagen fibers.
Ultrasound therapy uses sound waves to improve blood flow, decrease inflammation and help facilitate healing of soft tissue injuries of the spine and extremities.
Rehabilitative Exercise Instruction
The body is designed to move. We want to make sure it is moving properly and as pain-free as possible. Our personalized exercises help to stabilize the spine and coordinate proper muscle recruitment and balancing.
By stimulating your proprioceptive fibers in your joints with specific exercises, it can improve your balance, help strengthen your body, and help to protect you from future injury. The exercises are started on a stable surface and we then advance you to an unstable surface, such as a BOSU, gym ball or TRX suspension training.
I am in network with most insurance panels and also bill PIP (car accidents). Please call us and we can check if your plan will cover chiropractic services.
